Murphy

Murphy is one of our boarders. He is a retired OTTB who enjoyed life in the dressage ring with his owner, Priscilla Johovich. Murphy is a quiet stoic sort of guy but don't let his age fool you; he kicks up his heels in the sun almost as much as he did in his younger years. He just celebrated his 26th birthday on March 9th.

                                 Kris

 

Kris is owned and loved by Rachell and Ed. He also is an OTTB and is retired as well. Kris and Murphy can often be found play fighting in the field. Maybe it's because they  were both dressage horses or maybe it's because they kinda look alike. Whatever it is, they are friends and often we have to look carefully to make sure who is who, especially when they roll in the mud!

 

 

 

 

 

                     Bennie

Ahhh, Bennie. What can we say about Bennie? Have you ever known a horse that stole your heart with the look of an eye? That's Bennie. Bennie is the sweetest kindest soul. He is a retired therapy horse who landed with us when we really didn't need another horse but Bennie isn't a horse you can say "no" to. He was malnourished and while he still has a long long way to go, he has already come so far. Bennie loves kids so our hope is to have Bennie healthy enough to once again give the occasional pony ride.

 

 

 

 

 

Logan is Rachell's horse that she is training for lower level eventing. He is the farm's resident troublemaker and is also everyuone's best friend. In turnout, he is the first friend that a new horse makes and while he is the youngest of the barn, he helps to keep everyone young at heart.
